Someone asked me . . .

February 3rd, 2010  |  Published in art, general, spirituality

How my art has become a big thing in my life.

My response:

I’ve always loved drawing and painting since I was little and it was very natural of me to pursue it in school. After letting go of my “secure” job, I thought I’d dive fully into art, but that actually didn’t happen. A source of resistance in me has been this idea that I *have* to work HARD at art DAILY to be an artist. But all that pressure hadn’t really been working out . . . Growth came with a better and better understanding of the creative power of the universe; I’ve ended up seeing art in everything. So I’m coming more and more to see life as this great work in progress which shows a flow of creativity, regardless of whether I spend 10 hours today painting or put that off in favor of watching porn and eating ice cream.

Of course, once I let go of that pressure it’s easier and easier TO regularly put 10+ hours into art. Oh, Universe. <3

Free Stuff!

January 23rd, 2010  |  Published in art, spirituality, website

Whew!

I’ve had this intense desire for awhile to put some free shit out there into the world. Well, by my beliefs, I think I’ll get stuff back in some way or another- but it’s really just fun to share and be interactive. :)

Anyway, I’ve had a few ideas for awhile, but I’m only finally now starting to implement them . . .

First off, I’m offering free downloads of my fanart (since I can’t sell prints anyway, y’know?). That’s being done here: http://littlezas.net/gallery2/v/cogdis/
. . . Still got quite a bit to upload, heh.

I’ve also got these Horror Valentine’s cards I did last year:

Other things I’ve been planning include creating an art tutorials blog (I own art-tutorials.com). And maybe offering some feng shui inspired images for free (as well as general healing-oriented works vaguely in the tradition of the drypaintings of my (Navajo) tribe.

Well, for now I’m just proud I’ve taken those first steps. :)

A Fluid Shift

December 10th, 2009  |  Published in general, spirituality

It’s been a pretty fluid shift since I started my experiment. It didn’t really take long for me to develop a pretty firm belief in a primarily subjective reality. It’s funny though, as I discover this, it becomes obvious that the experience is out there for anyone ready to attract it. Read the rest of this entry »

[5] Social Shifts, Psionics and the Point of No Return (unfinished draft)

June 29th, 2009  |  Published in spirituality

From what I’ve described of my little path thus far, the skeptic in me and in you (that is you?) can say: That’s all kinda iffy still, Zas. Like a lot. Like, you’re crazy and irrational. Obviously jumping into ridiculous fantasies to combat either some crappy shit in your life lately or utter boredom. I pity you.

The believer in me and in you (that is you?) can say: You’re off to a good and cautious start, Zas. But you’re still really limiting yourself, you know . . . You should try EFT/The Bible/Scientology/Chaos Magic/Reiki/Some other specialized option within the whole.

So it’s a good time to describe my Point of No Return with this. The most convincing doorway for me, which lead to my most convincing results . . . Read the rest of this entry »

[4] Erin Pavlina Broke My Speakers (unfinished draft)

June 28th, 2009  |  Published in Uncategorized, spirituality

I was hanging out in the bath tub thinking about how, if I had money to spare, I’d like to give Erin Pavlina a call and see how that would work out. As I mentioned before, I gauged that other psychic’s ability at 60%. Which of course actually came down to how well my own shaping abilities of the universe measure up. Read the rest of this entry »

[3] Numerology and The Purple Dice (unfinished draft)

June 28th, 2009  |  Published in spirituality

When that first psychic I visited was telling me that purple was a special color for me and that it would help me build those aspects of myself, I was a little amused. The day before, I had bought some dice at a comic shop in order to experiment more with probability (related to explorations with psionics.) When I was choosing from the many different dice, I decided to grab some purple ones.

The cute comic nerd looked at me in teasing disbelief. He said, “Purple!?”

I said, “Purple.” Read the rest of this entry »

[2] Energy Healing, Mystical Kabbalah, and The Placebo Effect (unfinished draft)

[1] Psychic J (unfinished draft)

June 28th, 2009  |  Published in spirituality

So, I searched up psychics within my area. I found a list of possibilities and selected one based upon reviews/recommendations and just convenience.

It’s hard to explain this. Because it’s not like I’m acting as paranormal investigators might, trying to find evidence of what does or does not objectively exist in this world. Because nothing really does on the physical level from the dominant perspective I’m choosing to adopt for now, you know?

I went in simply assuming the psychic would represent a disconnect in reality. Something that doesn’t match up. Read the rest of this entry »

Changing Woman and Explorations of Paranormal Possibility (unfinshed draft)

June 28th, 2009  |  Published in spirituality

Paranormal investigation is a fun term. Of course, the phrase refers to things beyond the normal. That’s a little weird to think, kind of like the thought of something being “unnatural.” If it happened, how is it not a part of nature? If these things are capable of occuring, how are they not a part of what is normal? (You know what’s paranormal? YOUR FACE.)

Anyway, I thought I’d go ahead and lay out a bunch of specifics of where I’ve been these past couple months. From where I came from, this is a huge shift. So it is a very heavy path to follow. Read the rest of this entry »

Changing Woman 3: Objective and Subjective Reality

The topic of objective and subjective reality is one that I’m exploring a lot. I mentioned it in my last skepticism post. Read the rest of this entry »
